1.First fire for 1-2 hours, which is how long it usually takes for the surface to melt or to reach the diameter of the pot.
2. Every time you go to light it, make sure that the surface is totally solid and that you cut the wick/wick to about 5mm so that the flame gains strength. In this way, the burned wick will not emit unwanted smoke, nor will it fall into the candle.
3. Soy wax is sensitive to heat, so it should be kept at room temperature and not exposed to the sun or very hot environments.
4. Soy candles are not blown out! Since it turns into an oil, you run the risk of the wick moving. You can turn it off with a candle snuffer. Extinguishing a candle correctly will not only avoid that annoying smoke that stinks on top, but you will preserve the wick for the next time you light it.
